Grand Opening Celebration Benefiting Breast Cancer Research Kicks Off Today at 5:00PM

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CompUSA officially opens its newest Broward County store today in Pembroke Pines, located at 10121 Pines Boulevard at S. Palm Avenue. A ceremonial ribbon cutting by Pembroke Pines City Commissioner Jack McCluskey, a donation benefitting University of Miami's Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, and store-wide specials will kick off the grand opening celebration, all starting at 5:00pm today.

The Pembroke Pines location, which is Florida's 16^th CompUSA store and the 26^th nation-wide, is the first to be fully wired from opening day with "Retail 2.0," CompUSA's revolutionary system that merges the best of bricks-and-mortar and online shopping.

The grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:00pm today will include a $5,000 donation benefiting the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center's breast cancer research studies as part of the Glam-A-THON(TM), an event series with the mission to "Kiss Breast Cancer Goodbye." CompUSA will have a team participating in the Glam Doll Strut, another event to raise funds for breast cancer research, taking place the following day on Las Olas Boulevard in Ft. Lauderdale.
